Located approximately 3 miles east of Maryville on the north side of Route 136, Mozingo Lake, Mo offers the regional population a phenomenal outdoor experience.
Owned and maintained by the city of Maryville, Mozingo Lake is used primarily as a resource supplying drinking water to the residents of the community. Mozingo Lake itself includes a 3000 acre impoundment with 26 miles of shoreline.
A Slice of Mozingo History …
The Mozingo Lake facility began construction in 1991 when the dam was created across the Mozingo Creek Valley and the lake basin plus shoreline areas were cleared of most standing timber. Main construction activities were completed in 1992 then existing farm ponds located in the impoundment area were stocked with panfish and catfish.
